Priority Definition

Following are the definition of various priority levels in JIRA
  • Blocker - Blocks development and/or testing work, production could not run.
  • Critical - Crashes, loss of data, severe memory leak.
  • Major - Major loss of function.
  • Minor - Minor loss of function, or other problem where easy workaround is present.
  • Trivial - Cosmetic problem like misspelt words or misaligned text.

Our office is located in Virginia, USA. Core working hours are between 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST, Monday to Friday, except on US Federal Holidays.

Priority Process

Issues are ranked based on the following:
  1. Severity of the issue
  2. Availability of workarounds
  3. Ability to reproduce locally
  4. Access to logs, screenshots and other helpful artifacts
  5. Availability of the customer to discuss about the issue
