Datadog for Compass - Configuration

Datadog for Compass is configured by an administrator. Following is the process.

Prerequisite

​Generate Datadog API & Application Keys
Before configuring the integration, you need to obtain your Datadog API Key and Application Key.

🔐 Create an API Key
  • Log in to your Datadog account.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings → API Keys
  • Click New Key
  • Enter a name for your key
  • Click Create API Key and copy the key

🔐 Create an Application Key
  • In the same Organization Settings, go to Application Keys
  • Click New Key
  • Enter a name for your key
  • Click Create Application Key and copy the key

Configuration

  • Go to Manage your apps → Datadog for Compass, then click Configure.
  1. Click Link Account to start connecting your Datadog account to Compass
  1. Enter the required Datadog credentials
    1. API Key: Paste the API key you generated
    2. Application Key: Paste the application key you generated
    3. Metric Base URI: This is the base URL used to fetch Datadog metrics. You can find it from the address bar when you open the Datadog dashboard in your browser
  2. Click Save

    Once the connection is successful, your Datadog infrastructure will appear on the configuration page
