Datadog for Compass App

Datadog for Compass enables seamless integration between your infrastructure metrics and Compass components. With this app, teams can connect Datadog to Compass to gain near real-time visibility into service health, unify infrastructure and application data, and drive informed operational decisions—all within the existing Compass environment.

The Datadog for Compass app brings observability data directly into Compass, helping teams align service ownership with live operational metrics.

  • Import Datadog Hosts: Datadog hosts are listed on the app configuration page. Users can select and import hosts as Compass components, providing a complete view of your infrastructure within Compass..
  • Link Existing Components to Hosts: Existing Compass components can be connected to Datadog hosts to centralize visibility and improve traceability between services and systems.
  • Track Datadog Metrics: Users can select metrics and link them to Compass components. Metrics are automatically synchronized every 5 minutes.
  • Create Scorecards: Teams can build custom scorecards using inserted Datadog metrics to define service health criteria and consistently monitor performance across components.
  • Manage Monitors & Alerts: App administrators can manage Datadog monitors directly from the Compass. Once monitors are created in Datadog, they can automatically trigger Compass alert events via webhook, ensuring that alerts are connected to the appropriate components in Compass.
